Egypt to witness cold weather Tuesday; Saint Catherine records -2 °C

CAIRO – 15 February 2021: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects a cold weather to prevail in Cairo and Lower Egypt on Tuesday.

 

Active winds are expected on northwestern coasts, while warm weather will be witness in South Sinai.

 

While in Saint Catherine, a sharp drop in temperature is expected Tuesday, recording -2 degrees Celsius.

 

Director of Weather Forecast Department at EMA Mahmoud Shaheen said that the country will witness mild to moderate rainfall in Cairo, Giza, Qalubiya, Ismailia, Suez, Gharbia, Menoufia and Sharqiah.

 

Chances of thunderstorm accompanied by hail in areas of Rafah, Ras Sidr, Arish, Saint Catherine are big.

 

EMA expects the weather to be very cold at night in Cairo, Northern coasts, Upper Egypt and South Sinai.
