CAIRO – 27 December 2020:  The state-owned EgyptAir announced on Sunday that all passengers traveling to Turkey starting from December 29 must have negative PCR test certificates for the coronavirus (COVID-19), maximum 72 hours before flight departure time.

Children under the age of 6 are exempt from this decision, the company said, calling upon all clients to adhere to precautionary safety measures such as wearing a face mask.

Since October 2020, the Ministry of Health revealed an increasing number of laboratories that carry out PCR tests to detect COVID-19 infection to 54 nationwide.

The ministry stressed that all labs take precautionary and preventive measures to ensure that infection is not transmitted during taking the samples from the visitors, whether for examination or for travel requirements.
