Egyptian President inspects road projects in Cairo – press photo
CAIRO – 23 October 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday has inspected a number of projects to develop road networks in Greater Cairo, as part of the country’s national development plan.
The president inspected road projects in New Cairo’s first settlement, Suez Road and Mohamed Naguib Axis.
Sisi also inspected road projects in Old Cairo’s Civilizations Museum Axis.
Last Friday, Sisi also inspected a number of road projects being implemented in the capital to ease traffic congestion and help save time and effort.
The President followed up on new axes and roads in Eastern Cairo on the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road as well as in the famous main street of Gesr El Suez.
He also checked on comprehensive development of Nady El Shams vicinity in Cairo’s Heliopolis and Cairo International Airport, as well as axes and bridges linked with districts of Heliopolis, Nasr City and New Cairo.
The president at the sites urged accelerating the pace of work to implement the projects, as part of a national plan to construct new axes and bridges in the capital to ease the movement of citizens, especially as the new school year is set to start Saturday.
Also, Sisi has affirmed the need to stick to preventive measures amid the coronavirus pandemic, for the safety of all workers in the construction sites.
