CAIRO - 13 October 2020: A video of children wearing orange overalls in a church in a recreation of of the 2015 slaughter of 21 Copts in Libya at the hands of ISIS has been strongly condemned by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood.

In a Monday statement, head ofthe council Sahar al-Sunbaty said the video incites violence and hurts the feelings of the children, who appeared with their hands chained behind their backs in one line, with adults wearing black and holding purported knives behind each child.

The children are then shown lying on the ground, and then a priest and other children wearing white wings appear and crown the "slain" kids.

The council has filed a report to the Attorney-General office and will provide pyschological support to the children after they were exposed to "hurt and hate," according to the statement.

Pope Tawadros II said he does not know which church organized the simulation, and that the organizers deserve to be held accountable.
