Sunday to witness increase in temperature; Cairo records 37°C

CAIRO - 29 August 2020: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expected Sunday to witness a slight rise in temperature degrees, as hot and humid weather prevails over Cairo and Lower Egypt.

Winds are expected to be moderate in Cairo and the Gulf of Suez, while the weather will be very hot in the south Sinai.

The weather forecast authority said that humidity levels in Cairo and Lower Egypt will reach 78 percent.

Experts also expect northern Upper Egypt and southern Upper Egypt to witness very hot weather, while the temperature will decrease at night.

As for temperature degrees:

Greater Cairo: highs of 37°C and lows of 25°C.

Alexandria: highs of 32°C and lows of 25°C.

Matrouh: highs of 30°C and lows of 22°C.

Sohag: highs of 40°C and lows of 25°C.

Qena: highs of 40°C and lows of 26°C.

Aswan: highs of 42°C and lows of 27°C.
