CAIRO - 11 August 2020: Counselor Lashin Ibrahim, head of the National Elections Authority and deputy president of the Court of Cassation, has said that work inside all polling stations is going smoothly, on the first day of the 2020 Senate election.

 
Nearly 63 million Egyptians are entitled to vote in the election which kicked off Tuesday morning.
 
Some 163 international institutions along with local media outlets are covering the election in which 787 candidates are competing.
 
International and local NGOs and the Arab League are taking part in the election as observers.
