Egypt’s Sisi expresses his sincere condolences over Beirut’s blast

CAIRO – 4 August 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fatah al Sisi expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Lebanon people over the huge blast that rocked Beirut’s port, Tuesday.

“My sincere condolences and sympathies to our brothers in Lebanon, the government and the people, over today’s tragic explosion in Beirut, praying to God Almighty for a speedy recovery of the wounded and to provide the families of the victims with patience and solace.” Sisi wrote on Twitter.

A circulated video on social media showed earlier huge blast rocking Beirut’s port, as two following explosions took place according to Sky News Arabia Channel.

Beirut governor Marwan Abboud said in statements that about 10-firefighters were trying to control a fire at the port, however, all of them completely disappeared in the aftermath of the bombing.

All ten men are likely to be dead over the blast.

Abboud described the blast as another Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
