CAIRO – 22 June 2020: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi reviewed during a Monday meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli the country’s strategic stockpile of basic food commodities, along with the government’s efforts to provide it to citizens.

Sisi also discussed the Ministry of Supply's latest efforts regarding digitalizing its services, in the context of the overall digital transformation of the country.

According to presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, Sisi directed to provide basic commodities in appropriate quantities and prices, in order to meet the needs of citizens.

Sisi also reviewed the government's strategy to develop Edfina Company for Preserved Foods and Qaha Company to restore their high production, and promote the national product in the local market, increasing its competitiveness and maximizing its export opportunities.

Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting to review incentives to be provided for public servants, who will be relocated to the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and Planning Minister Hala el-Saeed.

"The incentives include granting all public servants a transport allowance and allocating social housing units for them in Badr City," Madbouli said.

"State employees can pay the price of the housing unit over a span of 10 years," the prime minister said, adding that there are other housing units in the residential district in the New Administrative Capital.

The planning and finance ministers, meanwhile, reviewed details of the incentives to be announced very soon, in addition to measures taken to offer other services, including schools, hospitals, and clubs.
