CAIRO - 21 June 2020: The head of the Supreme council of the Libyan tribes Sheik Mohamed Al Mesbahi said Saturday that the Libyan people seek to revive the Arab Joint defense agreement in order to end the Turkish and outlawed militias’s existence on the Libyan soil.

Al Mesbahi supported the statements made by the Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi earlier today on the situation in Libya.

On the behalf of the Libyan tribes, Al Mesbahi urged an Egyptian intervention in Libya that suffers from the terrorist militias backed by the Turkish regime.

He added that the Libyan people feel like the Arabian dignity was revived since June 30 revolution in Egypt, urging an Egyptian move to settle the ongoing battle in Libya to exterminate the Turkish and militias’’ existence.

Commenting on the situation in the Libyan city of Tarhuna, the head of the Supreme council of Libyan accused Turkey of driving a wedge between the Libyan tribes in order to destroy the Libyan society.

Al Mesbahi pointed out that the Turkish military intervention in Libya and seizing Tarhuna city target to change the demography of the country through bringing in mercenaries and have them settled in Libya to boost the Turkish occupation.

Al Mesbahi said that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is introducing himself as a liberator, but in reality he is imposing a Turkish occupation on Libya and the rest of the Arab world by funding and supporting outlawed groups such as the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood.

Al Mesbahi asserted that the Libyan tribes will resist the Turkish occupation which represents a threat to the western Egyptian borders.
