CAIRO - April 10, 2020: Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Ahmed Al Mandhari has praised Egypt's strong health system.

He reiterated on Thursday that the Egyptian health system has rapidly responded to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus through carrying out medical tests and providing care for patients.

Al Mandhari stressed that the Egyptian health authorities transparently cooperate with the WHO, noting that a delegation from the organization had talks with Health Minister Hala Zayed on recommendations that will be put into effect in the coming weeks with preventive measures to stop the spread of the COVID-19.

He urged all people to stick to all preventive instructions, placing emphasis on the necessity of social distancing to contain the deadly virus.
