CAIRO – 23 March 2020: Egypt witnesses Monday active dust storms, causing low visibility on most main roads in Cairo and Giza.

Meteorological experts expected Monday will witness a remarkable increase in temperature by 8 degrees, where a moderate weather is expected in Greater Cairo during the day, while temperatures will be low at night.

The official forecast authority expected a moderate weather Tuesday, with Cairo recording highs of 26 °C and lows of 16°C. The authority denied reports on Egypt witnessing heavy rains in the coming days.

The General Traffic Department called on citizens to abide by a set of general guidelines and instructions while driving on highways due to the bad weather.


Temperature degrees on Monday as expected:

Cairo records highs of 29°C and lows of 13°C
Alexandria records highs of 26°C and lows of 12°C
Matrouh records highs of 24°C and lows of 12°C
Sohag records highs of 28°C and lows of 14°C
Qena records highs of 30°C and lows of 13°C
Aswan records highs of 32°C and lows of 15°C
