CAIRO – 20 June 2017: Prominent Kuwaiti lawyer Bassam Alasousi said a secret meeting was held during the past two days between individuals affiliated to the Muslim brotherhood branch in Kuwait and Abdullah Taher, the former Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassem’s laywer.

Alasousi added during an interview with ‘Arabia.Net’ on Monday that he is aware of Taher’s repeated visits to Kuwait, to peruse Politicians criticized Bin Jassim’s policies and actions.

Doubting those visits to be only social, Alasousi pointed out that Taher‘s meetings during those visits were limited to politicians inside the Muslim brother hood branch inside the emirate.
“Are we allowed to meet Qatari opposition inside Doha?” wondered Alasousi , criticizing the Kuwaiti government’s lack of interest in such meetings.

Alasousi challenged the Qatari ruling regime to host conferences for its opposition, adding that if it was possible, he would hold meetings with Qatari opposition’s politicians inside Doha.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain cut off their diplomatic ties with the Qatar earlier this month.
