CAIRO, Feb 8 (MENA) - The Consulate of Egypt in Jeddah is closely following up the sinking of a Saudi-flagged fishing boat in the Red Sea, which left three Egyptians dead and three others wounded, the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

Egypt's Consul General in Jeddah Hesham Fathi has dispatched a representative to check on the health condition of the injured, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad Yasser Mahmoud Hashim said.

The consul is in constant contact with the Saudi bodies concerned to finalize the burial procedures of the three other Egyptians, Hashim added.

The ministry extended deepest condolences to the victims' families and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
