Saudi embassy: Citizen evacuation from Lebanon started Saturday

BEIRUT, Oct 19 (MENA) - The Saudi embassy to Lebanon announced the beginning of the evacuation of Saudi citizens as of Saturday due to the disturbances in Lebanon.

The first phase of the crisis and emergency management plan was successful and the safe evacuation and arrival of the citizens at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut has been ensured since 5 am, the embassy said in a statement.

The embassy expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces.

It, also, expressed wishes that peace and stability would prevail in Lebanon.
