BELGRADE, Oct 13 (MENA) - House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal affirmed Egypt's full support to Algeria during the exceptional conditions it faces.

He praised Algerian people's determination to observe a smooth transition period that guarantees meeting their aspirations and maintaining the stability of the country.

The Egyptian parliament speaker made the remarks during his meeting with Speaker of the Algerian People's National Assembly Slimane Chenine on the sidelines of the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, currently taking place in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.

The unfolding events in Algeria are deemed internal affairs utterly respected by Egypt, Abdel Aal said. He, also, welcomed holding presidential elections in the north African country in December.

Abdel Aal asserted the eagerness of both countries to develop their bilateral relations at the political, economic, cultural and tourism levels along with removing all obstacles hindering trade ties.

He further reviewed Egypt's vision regarding developments taking place in the Arab and African regions.

Abdel Aal, meanwhile, underlined the importance of intensifying coordination between the two countries regarding regional and international issues of mutual concern, namely fighting terrorism and extremism in the region.

Speaker Chenine, for his part, appreciated the meeting and heaped praise on the level of coordination between the two countries at various levels, especially the parliamentary one.
