CAIRO – 31 August 2019: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi is set to arrive in Kuwait today, Saturday, for a visit that will see the official talks and the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation agreements.

President Sisi is expected to hold talks with Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations in a way to serve mutual interests.

Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tarek El Kouny said in Friday press remarks that the visit reflects the special bond of the Egyptian and Kuwaiti people and their solidarity in the face of challenges and threats during the recent years.

This is considered the third official visit by President Sisi to Kuwait since he assumed office in 2014. The first visit was in January 2015 to express gratitude for Kuwait’s good stands with Egypt following the June 30 revolution.

During the visit, Sheikh Al-Sabah decorated the Egyptian leader with Mubarak Al-Kabeer Necklace, one of the most honorable merits in Kuwait, in recognition of his role in consolidating the distinguished relations between the two countries.
