CAIRO - 29 August 2019: Invited by the Kuwaiti Emir, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will pay an official visit to Kuwait, Ambassador to Cairo Mohammed Saleh said Thursday, but did not announce the date of the planned visit.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Saleh affirmed that President Sisi's visit to Kuwait reflects the deep bilateral brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples over decades.

"This unique relationship has embodied, through its updates and developments, a great success story that we have the right to be proud of and to present to the world as an actual model of unity of purpose, sincerity of orientation, blending of visions, and joint pursuit of the aspirations of our peoples and our nation for development, security and stability," he said.

Saleh discribed Sisi as a "wise leader" of a brotherly country that is linked to Kuwait with years of brotherhood and cooperation over history. He added that this visit is a good opportunity to review the various aspects of close brotherly relations between the two countries.

Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim in January said that the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations represent a model to follow in view of the distinguished ties which are based on trust and integration at all levels.

In statements to Middle East News Agency (MENA), Ghanim highlighted the strong relations between the Kuwaiti Emir and the Egyptian President, in addition to ties between governments in both countries.

Ghanim said that the Kuwaiti National Assembly considers the Egyptian parliament as a major partner, adding that relations with Egypt's parliament reflect unique ties binding both countries.
