CAIRO – 9 June 2017:The membership of Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi in the Muslim World League (MWL) was terminated early Friday. The MWL has expressed its full support for the terrorist list announced by four Arab countries late Thursday.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain announced in a joint statement that they have included 59 individuals and 12 organizations with ties to Qatar on their terrorism watch list.

The MWL called on all those connected with the associations included in the list to withdraw from these entities.

The four states renew their commitment to their responsibilities in enhancing all efforts to counter terrorism and to laying the foundations for security and stability in the region. Each reaffirms their respective commitment to the pursuit of individuals and groups perpetuating acts of terror, regionally and globally.
