CAIRO, 7 June, 2017: Sources inside the Qatari capital, Doha, revealed that elements of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards were seen inside the Qatari palace to protect the Prince, under the pretext of their presence to train some of the troops.

The sources said that the Iranian elements present inside the Emiri palace, where Tamim bin Hamad resides, appeared in the uniforms of the Qatari military to hide their identity.

This presence by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces comes as a natural extension of relations between the two countries, after Iran decided to open its airspace to Qatari flights as a reaction to the decision of the Gulf States to close the airspace in front of Qatar Airways.
