Sisi praises Saudi supportive stances towards Egypt

CAIRO, 25 Dec 2018: President Abdel Fatah al Sisi has extended thanks to Saudi Arabia for its stances in support of Egypt at all levels.

During a meeting with Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al al Sheikh and his accompanying delegation, the president stressed the need for stepping up the level of cooperation between the two countries' parliaments in the coming period.

"The president also hailed strategic and deeply-rooted relations between Cairo and Riyadh," presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.

President Sisi further called on the Saudi delegation to convey his greetings to Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman.

Al Sheikh, meanwhile, stressed the kingdom's keenness on boosting aspects of cooperation with Egypt at all levels and continuing coordination on issues of mutual concern.

He further praised mega projects being carried out across Egypt, saying that Egypt plays a vital role in maintaining regional stability and security.
