CAIRO – 25 September 2018: A parliamentary delegation lead by Speaker Dr Ali Abdel Aal left Cairo on Monday morning, heading to Ireland per a formal invitation from the Irish parliament speaker Seán Ó Fearghaíl.

According to a statement issued on Monday, theis visit came as a result of the latest witnessed development in Egyptian-Irish relations on diplomatic, political and governmental levels. Both countries are keen on enhancing bilateral ties during the upcoming period, according to the statement.

The visit’s schedule is slated to include several meetings between Egyptian and Irish officials.

Earlier this month, Tarek Radwan, chairman of the Egyptian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, announced that another delegation headed by Aal will visit France in October.

This visit comes within the framework of a number of parliamentary visits to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and various countries, Radwan added. He further pointed out that the visit will include several meetings with top French officials, including the French Speaker of the Parliament and the Foreign Minister.

On September 9, Abdel Aal left for Cyprus accompanied by a delegation on a four-day official visit at an invitation from the Cypriot Parliament Speaker. The visit came within the framework of distinguished Egyptian-Cypriot relations and efforts to promote them, particularly at the parliamentary level.
