CAIRO – 19 September 2018: Mohammed Abdel Rahim al-Assami, the spokesman of the Directorate of Civil Defense in Asir, declared that a Houthi shell struck Dhahran on Tuesday, September 18.

The shell was coming from Yemen’s direction and fell on a small village in southern Dhahran; it resulted in some losses without resulting in any injuries or deaths, according to the spokesperson.

Assami also revealed that the Directorate of Civil Defense in Asir received a notification that the shell caused damages to a mosque, a house, and an agricultural well.
Up until now, the Houthi movement has not claimed responsibility for the attack.
This came after Saudi’s interception of Houthi’s armed ballistic missile towards Saudi Aramco oil refinery on September 14, 2018.

Saudi Arabia faced numerous attacks from the Iran-aligned Houthi movement, especially after its leadership of the Arabian alliance in Yemen in 2015 to back the internationally recognized government, in response to a request from President of the Republic of Yemen Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi.
