Defense minister follows up Sinai Operation for fighting terrorism

CAIRO - 4 September 2018: Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki on Tuesday followed up the stages of Sinai 2018 Comprehensive Operation for fighting terrorism.

The general commander of the Armed Forces followed up the stages from the operations room in the East Canal Command.

He listened to a detailed review by the commanders of the second and third field armies on the size of participant forces and their formations.

He was also acquainted with the development of combat operations for uprooting terrorism from Sinai.

Zaki was also briefed on efforts to comb areas and routes used by terrorists which led to killing and arresting many of them and seizing large quantities of their weapons and logistical supply.
