CAIRO – 9 May 2018: Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad visited Wednesday the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) in Cairo.


Upon his arrival, the Saudi Minister was received by Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation Makram Mohamed Ahmed and a number of officials.


Covering an area of about 33 million square meters, EMPC is an information and media complex that was constructed in 1992 and launched in 2000.


The EMPC provides miscellaneous production including drama, cultural, educational features, children programs, film production, and TV production.


During his visit, Awwad exchanged talks and reviews regarding the outcomes of the 9th meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministers of Information Council.


The council meetings concluded with various draft resolutions to be submitted to the council, on its 49th session, set to take place on Wednesday, to approve them.
