CAIRO – 8 May 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain “will open new and broaden horizons in the joint relations between both countries at different levels”, said Bahraini Parliament Speaker Ahmed Bin Ibrahim on Monday.

Bin Ibrahim stressed that Egypt, with its strong leadership and people, will always be a “home for Arabs,” according to Bahraini media reports. He also praised Egypt’s role in supporting stability of the region.

Bin Ibrahim added that Bahrain “stands by Egypt’s efforts to confront terrorism and eliminate it to protect the region’s states and its people.”

Sisi arrived Monday in Bahrain after wrapping up a two-day visit to Kuwait; Bahrain is the final stop in the president’s Gulf tour.

During his visit, Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with his Bahraini counterpart on bilateral ties between Cairo and Manama, in addition to discussing the latest developments at the regional and international levels.
