RIYADH - 27 March 2018: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud confirmed on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia will respond firmly to any attempts aimed at its security and stability, as well as the safety of its people, the Saudi Al Arabiya news channel reported.

Saudi King made these remarks during a Saudi cabinet meeting held at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.

The Saudi cabinet affirmed that the recent missile attacks by Houthi rebels prove Iran's backing to the rebels and meddling in the region.

The Saudi king informed the cabinet of the details of two telephone calls he received from Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as well as the talks he had with Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso.

King Salman expressed his thanks and appreciation to the leaders of the sisterly countries for their condemnation of the missile attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militias which were fired towards the Kingdom on Sunday night.
