NICOSIA - 23 February 2018: Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will support the stance of Cyprus on Turkey`s interference in Cyprus's economic zone after a coordination meeting with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades last night in Brussels, a Greek government source told the Cyprus News Agency.

According to the source, the meeting, which lasted for just over an hour, was held in a good atmosphere and coordination was achieved with regard to the arguments presented by the Greek and Cypriot sides in the Informal EU27 Council and in the bilateral meetings.

As announced, both Alexis Tsipras and Nicos Anastasiades will inform their counterparts on a bilateral basis. They will also have a joint meeting with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, while the Greek premier will inform EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini.

The aim of the Greek side is to push the EU to take a clear stance on the Turkish interference in the Cypriot economic zone.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will address the Informal EU27 Council this evening for that matter, right after the speech of Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.
