CAIRO – 21 February 2018: President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shinichi Kitaoka praised on Wednesday economic reform decisions recently taken by the Egyptian government.

Such economic reforms will put Egypt on the right track of economic growth, Kitaoka said during a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail in Cairo.

He also praised the work progress at the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is partially funded by the Japanese government.

Kitaoka said his agency is keen on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in Egypt.

Ismail, meanwhile, hailed the role played by JICA in support of development projects in Egypt.

He also spoke of efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to improve the Egyptian economy and enhance services offered to citizens.
