Security source to MENA: Police announces highest state of alert

CAIRO - 9 February 2018: A top-ranking security source told MENA that the police announced the highest state of alert in all Egyptian governorates amid the fierce war against terrorism.

In statements to MENA, the source added that the police and Armed Forces are waging a fierce war against terrorism in Egypt.

All security measures are beefed up around vital and important facilities and national projects along with water and power plants together with places of worship, he noted.

Also, security measures at public squares and inside all governorates were enhanced, he pointed out.

Rapid intervention units are deployed to handle any threat to the citizens, he added.
