President Sisi lays wreath of roses on Unknown Soldier Memorial

CAIRO - 23 April 2017: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi laid a wreath of roses on the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier in Nasr City, east of Cairo, Sunday in celebration of Sinai Liberation Day.


Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mahmoud Hijazi and a number of officials attended the ceremony.


The celebration comes ahead of a scheduled visit by President Sisi to Saudi Arabia to meet with Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz in an effort to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
