CAIRO - 10 January 2018: Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal referred presidential decisions on amendments to agreements pertaining to international civil aviation and cooperation between Egypt and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to specialized committees.

The constitutional and legislative committees of the parliament will review the presidential decisions No.648 and No.649 of the Year 2017 approving the amendments of Article 50 and Article 56 of the international civil aviation agreement signed in Montreal in October 2016.

The specialized committees will also consider the presidential decrees on approving two cooperation agreements between the Egyptian government and the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) for the use of solar energy in irrigation and sustainable management of water and modern irrigation methods in the newly reclaimed lands.

The parliamentary committees will also probe draft laws on allowing the oil minister to clinch contracts between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the specialized oil companies to operate in various areas in the country.
