CAIRO – 25 December 2017: Leading opposition figure, Khaled al-Hail, called on Qatari people Sunday to revolt against the “Two-Hamads” regime.

“I call on the Qatari people not to fear the word ‘change’. Surely, changing the regime will be for your own good,” Hail said on Twitter.

Hail called on Qataris to take part in establishing the “new Qatar” as they are the “principle tool of change”.

“The current regime will undoubtedly fall down,” Hail stressed. “The new regime will surely build a bridge of trust with the Qatari people,” he added.

“You are the main beneficiary; you will achieve interior and exterior security, and the Qatari money will go to the Qatari people,” Hail said.

On June 5, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain severed diplomatic ties with Qatar over accusations of sponsoring terrorist groups; an accusation that Qatar denies.
