Saudi Arabia called on the international community in a statement issued on Thursday, to take immediate action against the Iranian regime for its aggressive practices.

On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Defense presented a missile that it said was supplied to the Iran-aligned Houthi militia in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia renewed its condemnation of the Iranian regime for supporting Houthi militants, who they say destroyed Yemen’s institutions and oppressed Yemenis, according to a statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

Saudi Arabia also deplored Iranian support of Houthi attacks on Saudi lands, including firing ballistic missiles at populated areas.

In November, the Saudi Defense Ministry said that its air defense units intercepted a ballistic missile northeast of Riyadh, saying it was fired from Yemen.

The statement affirmed Saudi's commitment to support theUN Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed’s efforts to finding a political solution and to support all relief and humanitarian operations to ease the suffering of the Yemenis.

Yemen has been involved in a war since 2015, between forces loyal to President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi’s government, backed by a Saudi-led coalition and those allied to the Houthi rebel movement.
