ADEN - 13 December 2017: Twenty-two Houthis were killed and 18 injured in confrontations with Yemeni forces in western Yemen, Yemeni sources said on Wednesday.

The confrontations took place at night on Tuesday and in the morning Wednesday, Sky News reported.

The United States and Britain provide political backing as well as weapons and logistical support for the Saudi-led coalition, which has been fighting since 2015 to restore Yemen's internationally-recognised president, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, to power.
