3 arrested in Sinai over charges of backing Takfiri elements

CAIRO - 17 November 2017: Law enforcement forces of the Third Field Army have arrested three suspects believed to support Takfiri elements in central Sinai, military spokesman Colonel Tamer el Refaei said in a Friday statement.

The forces seized a four-wheel-drive vehicle and three motorcycles belonging to the Takfiri elements, he said, adding that they also destroyed nine hotbeds in the same area.

The move comes as part of efforts exerted by the Armed Forces to confront terrorist and criminal elements, he noted.
