Iraqi forces launch military operation against Daesh in Baquba

BAGHDAD - 12 November 2017: Degla Operations Commander Lt General Mozher al Azawi announced on Sunday the launch of a large-scale military operations against Daesh in nine areas in southern Baquba.

In statements to Al Sumaria news channel, Azawi said army, police and Popular Mobilization forces are engaged in the operation which aimed at tracking down Daesh cells and assuring people that they would promote national stability and confront threats.

He added that several Daesh HQs were destroyed within the framework of the operation.
