Fugitive leader of Al Jama'a Al Islamiya arrested: Interior Ministry

CAIRO-30 October 2017: Police arrested one of the leaders of Al Jama'a Al Islamiya, who was running away from executing a life sentence, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The defendant, identified as Abdel Kader Abdel Ghani, was charged with breaking into and sabotaging a Beni Suef police station after the dispersal of Rabaa protest camp.

He is member of the Building and Development Party, the political wing of Al Jama'a Al Islamiya.
