KHARTOUM - 27 October 2017: Sudan has hailed Egypt's participation in the 13th edition of Khartoum International Book Fair as a guest of honor.

"The Egyptian attendance achieved an unprecedented leap and a cultural momentum in all activities of the fair," the Sudanese culture ministry's undersecretary Karmullah Hamed told MENA correspondent.

He made the remarks during an event that was held to honor the team of the Egyptian pavilion.

A host of Egyptian writers, authors, artists and poets attended the 13th round of the fair.

"This session was the best ever in the fair's history thanks to the Egyptian existence," he said.

He hailed as distinguished relations between Sudan and Egypt, particularly in the cultural field.

Hamed stressed that Khartoum is keen on partaking in all cultural activities held in Egypt, especially the Cairo International Book Fair, the largest and oldest book fair in the Arab world.
