LONDON– 25 October 2017: Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir has called on Qatar to change its attitudes for the sake of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Speaking at a conference organized by Chatham House in London, Al Jubeir has said “If we can change Qatari behavior we will be stronger in the GCC and we can confront Iran and terrorism.”

He added that “Qatar must first acknowledge it has a problem in order for them to solve it.”

“We are saying no to funding terrorism,” he said, stressing that it was “unacceptable that media platforms condone bombings.”

With regard to Iran, Al Jubeir affirmed that the kingdom supports the position of US President Donald Trump on Iran, saying that the nuclear agreement contains several shortcomings.
