CAIRO – 22 October 2017: The Saudi Ambassador to Egypt and its representative to the Arab League, Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Qattan, mourned on Sunday the Egyptian police martyrs that were killed in a terrorist attack in Giza on Saturday.

On Twitter, Qattan sent several messages in solidarity with Egypt and expressed the Kingdom’s support to the country. He said, "I received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the killing of honorable policemen in al-Wahat."





He also expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Egypt and wished a speedy and full recovery to those who were injured.




The ambassador continued, “The Saudi Kingdom ‘s leadership, government and people support Egypt in its fight against terrorism and against any countries that finance terrorists and shelter them."




Qattan also said he has no doubt that Egypt will prevail over these terrorists. He concluded his remarks by saying that Egypt will always be strong and determined.





Moreover, the Saudi ambassador to Egypt confirmed that Egypt's security and stability are among the most important pillars of security and stability in the region.




On Saturday, 17 Egyptian policemen were killed in a terrorist attack in Giza. The Ministry of Interior issued a statement to report the killing of 15 militants involved in the attack and announced they were searching the area for fleeing militants. The ministry urged media outlets to validate information before sharing it with the public to avoid unwanted repercussions.
