CAIRO – 17 October 2017: Two Emirati pilots were announced dead in a statement issued by the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates after the fall of their aircrafts due to technical fault Tuesday.

The two pilots were on a mission in Yemen as part of the Arabian alliance forces led by Saudi Arabia, the statement reported.

The Emirati Armed Forces offered their condolences to the pilots’ families.

Arabian alliance forces started conducting military operations in Yemen since March 2015; per Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi’s request to face the Houthis’ armed group.
