Egyptian embassy in Berlin hosts celebration to mark October War Victory

BERLIN - 11 October 2017: The Defense office at the Egyptian embassy in Berlin hosted on Tuesday a celebration to mark the 44th anniversary of the October War Victory.

A galaxy of officials at the German Defense Ministry, ambassadors of several Arab and foreign ambassadors and parliamentarians attended the celebration.

At the beginning of the ceremony, a documentary on the glorious October War was displayed.

Speaking on the occasion, Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin Badr Abdel Aati said Egypt is exerting utmost efforts to reach a political settlement to regional crises, particularly in Syria and Libya.

He further cited Egypt's success in achieving a Palestinian reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas movements and the return of the Palestinian national government to the Gaza Strip.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi spearheaded regional and international efforts to resume peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis that will culminate in establishing an independent Palestinian state, with Al Quds as its capital, the Egyptian diplomat said.
