BAGHDAD, Sept 21 2017: France’s President Emmanuel Macron stressed his country’s support to the unity of Iraq, calling for the postponement of Kurdistan referendum.

Macron’s remarks came during a phone call with Kurdish President Masoud Barzani who, for his part, said the door remained open for dialogue with Baghdad following the referendum.

He asserted that the referendum would be held on its set date.
