CAIRO - 20 September 2017: Al Azhar on Wednesday mourned victims of Mexico's magnitude 7.1 earthquake that hit the country on Tuesday.

In a statement, Al Azhar offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

More than 220 people have been confirmed killed by the Mexico's deadliest earthquake since 1985. Rescue workers are digging through rubble of collapsed schools, homes and apartment buildings looking for survivors.
