CAIRO – 7 September 2017: The Egyptian navy rescued nine Malaysian tourists and eight Egyptians from drowning after their boat sank in the northern red sea on Thursday morning.

After being notified, naval forces launched a rescue vessel that brought the Malaysian tourists and the Egyptians to shore, except for one missing Egyptian diver.

Naval forces are the section of Egyptian armed forces responsible for the Egyptian coasts. They rescued in a tourist boat with 10 people on board from drowning in the coast of Hurghada in July 2017, according to the military spokesperson’s statement.
