BERLIN - 29 Aug 2017: Chancellor Angela Merkel called on the Turkish government to release 10 Germans arrested in the last summer, after the military coup attempt.

Turkey has arrested 10 Germans in recent months on charges the German government considers dubious.

Merkel stressed on Tuesday that Turkey has carried out unjustified arrest campaign against German citizens, according to ABC news agency.

She also revealed that German-Turkish relations became very complicated.
