BEIRUT - 24 August 2017: President Michel Aoun will head to New York on September 17 to take part in the 72nd regular session of the UN General Assembly, Al Sharq newspaper of Thursday reported.

Aoun is scheduled to address the UN session on September 21.

He will also hold meetings with various state leaders and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the session.

On September 25, Aoun will pay a two-day visit to France, where he will meet with its President Emmanuel Macron and a number of ministers and political figures.

He has also two scheduled official visits on his agenda, Iran in October and Italy in January.
