CAIRO – 7 August 2017: Kuwaiti Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah delegated an envoy to Saudi Arabia to deliver his hand-written letter to Saudi King Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, Kuwait’s state news agency (KUNA) said on Monday.

Then the envoy will head to Egypt to deliver another hand-written letter to President Abdel-Fatah al-Sisi.

A raft of Kuwaiti ministers including Foreign Affairs Sabah Al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah and State for Cabinet Affairs Information Muhammad Abdallah al-Mubarak al-Sabah will accompany the Emir’s envoy during his visit.

Kuwait continues its mediation efforts between Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE on one hand and the Qatari state on the other hand.

Earlier, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah manifested that all parties in the crisis have lots of hope in the Kuwaiti mediation to resolve the Arab-Qatari crisis.

“Efforts carried out by the Kuwaiti Emir are heavily welcomed in the Arab and international circles to resolve the intra-Arab rift,” Al-Jarallah had stressed.

He praised the Moroccan role in decreasing the gap between all parties of the intra-Arab crisis, following the visit paid by Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita to Kuwait in June.
