El Alamein Int'l Airshow 2026 to feature global aviation, space industry leaders in Sept.

CAIRO – 26 July 2026: Egypt is preparing to host the second El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026) in September, featuring an open display of the latest aircraft alongside aerial demonstrations, according to the Armed Forces’ spokesman on Sunday.

The event will bring together global leaders in aerospace defense, aviation, navigation and space technology, said Lt. Gen. Amr Saqr, Commander of the Air Force, during a press conference ahead of the event.

Saqr said Egypt is fully prepared to host the second edition of one of the leading international exhibitions in the aviation and space sectors.

He said the exhibition aims to open new avenues for cooperation between Egypt and countries around the world across military, commercial and private aircraft industries, aviation equipment and space technology.

Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny described the exhibition as a valuable platform for cooperation, exchanging ideas and showcasing the latest technological advances across the aviation sector.

He also highlighted the Armed Forces' role in organizing the international event in Egypt.

 

Maged Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of the Egyptian Space Agency, said EIAS 2026 will serve as a key meeting point for leading international institutions specializing in defense, armament, aviation and space technology.

He added that the event is expected to attract broad participation from regional and international organizations.

Meanwhile, Maj. Gen. Mohamed Adly, Chief of the Armed Forces Armament Authority, said EIAS 2026 will provide an opportunity to explore the latest developments in aerial weaponry, aircraft, drones and future technological trends shaping the global armament system.

The event reflects Egypt's ambition to establish itself as a regional hub for aviation and an emerging force in the aviation and space technology industries, the spokesman said.
