CAIRO – 25 July 2026: Egypt on Saturday expressed its deepest condolences to the Syrian government and people following a deadly traffic accident that killed and injured dozens.
Two buses collided on the Damascus–Deir Ezzor highway, killing 35 people and injuring 30 others, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Syria in the wake of the tragedy, extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
